North Korean floorshow, Beijing
The Pyongyang restaurant in Liangmaqiao, Beijing is a North Korean-run restaurant. The waitresses wear the national dress with a Kim Il Sung badge on it. They serve the food then do a turn on the floor singing North Korean patriotic songs. A good night out, like no other.

Hutong life at Jiaodaokou, Beijing
Jiaodaokou is one of the few areas in Beijing were you can still experience the traditional hutong [alleyway] life. There are few cars here, and people live their lives out in the street in the old village way. It is a great place to wander round, and now there are a lot of nice cafes opening up in the area too. It's just to the east of the Houhai lake area in central Beijing.
