On Easter Monday I made the trip out to Jietai Si, a tranquil old temple to the west of Beijing. To get there, take the Metro/Subway to the end of the line at Pingguoyuan then take the 931 bus. You can get off at Jietai Si or carry on another 10km to the end of the line to see Tanzhe Si temple first, then return to see Jietai Si. I prefer the latter - it was much more peaceful and beautiful than the busier Tanzhe Si.
