Hedda Morrison's 1930s pics of Peking

Hedda Morrison was am amazingly talented German photographer who lived in Peking from 1934-1946. This is one of her pics taken with her Rolleflex.

Here's a pic of the same building taken a couple of years ago - it now stands isolated in a bleak environment of roads, bus stops and railings.

Thanks. Beijing was once a beautiful city. Now unfortunately most of it is concrete.
